As with the first edition, this workshop will be led by Arancha García Del Soto[1], a social psychologist and PhD in sociology.

This second edition will take place over two days, on Tuesday 19 May and Tuesday 26 May 2026 at 11am (CET), comprising workshops lasting 1 hour each.

The first session will be devoted to the interview methodology known as “do no harm”, which is essential when supporting victims of human rights violations. Building on the first workshop, this training will focus on active listening and taking into account the psychological impacts of violence, as well as on preventing the re-traumatisation of victims.

The second session will focus on individual and collective self-care, exploring the development of emotional self-management strategies and emphasising the importance of strengthening peer support and building networks. Specific Tools on Self-regulation (cognitive, physical and emotional tips), Feedback, Psychological First Aid, Communication and roles within teams, etc. will be described (and can be shared by demand later on).

This new initiative is part of the OIAD’s commitment to addressing the practical needs of lawyers working in challenging professional environments, by providing them with practical tools to maintain their well-being and effectiveness in the field.

The workshop is accessible by prior registration only, available via the following links:

Registration for the training workshop on no harm interview techniques (19 May): https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_C9xX-60ATYWQw64sPP-V1w

Registration for the workshop on strengthening individual and collective self-care (26 May): https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_9u6Yg9J-TIK_sqLnzvviHg

We invite you to widely share this initiative with your networks and colleagues who may be interested, and we look forward to seeing many of you there!

[1] Arancha García del Soto, PhD, is a social psychologist and holds a doctorate in sociology.
