BIELORRUSIA: Llamamiento conjunto a las autoridades bielorrusas para que pongan en libertad de inmediato al abogado Dmitri Laevski<\/h2>\n

Las organizaciones \u00abLawyers for Lawyers\u00bb, \u00abLawyers\u2019 Rights Watch Canada\u00bb, el Instituto de Derechos Humanos de la Asociaci\u00f3n Internacional de Abogados (IBAHRI), el Observatorio Internacional de la Abogac\u00eda en Riesgo y la \u201cLaw Society of England and Wales\u201d condenan firmemente la condena y el encarcelamiento del abogado Dmitri Laevski por parte de las autoridades bielorrusas, y exigen su liberaci\u00f3n inmediata y la retirada de todos los cargos que se le imputan.<\/p>\n

El 9 de septiembre, el Tribunal Municipal de Minsk conden\u00f3 al Sr. Laevski a tres a\u00f1os de prisi\u00f3n por \u00abfacilitar actividades extremistas\u00bb y \u00abdesacreditar\u00bb a Bielorrusia. Su condena supone una nueva escalada en la represi\u00f3n sistem\u00e1tica de los abogados que desempe\u00f1an sus funciones profesionales y ejercen su derecho a la libertad de expresi\u00f3n en Bielorrusia.<\/p>\n
