Description: The OIAD, represented by its delegate Benedetta Perego (Turin), attended the trial of Necat Çiçek, regional director of the Lawyers for Freedom Association (ÖHD), in Diyarbakir on Tuesday 9 September 2025.
The lawyer’s home had been searched, his computer equipment seized and he had been placed under a travel ban (still in force) following a large-scale police operation launched on 25 April 2023, which led to the arrest of 22 lawyers.
