Turkey: Lengthy prison sentences imposed on ÖHD lawyers and TUAD members for their professional activities and commitment to human rights
The OIAD has joined forces with 33 organisations and bar associations to denounce the long prison sentences handed down to ÖHD lawyers and TUAD members for their work in support of human rights.
2016 CCBE Award winners Ayşe Acinikli, Ramazan Demir, and other ÖHD lawyers were sentenced to harsh penalties on 29 January 2026.
