Joint Statement/Georgia – Freezing of NGO Accounts and Impact on Legal Protection and the Work of Lawyers
In response to the freezing of the bank accounts of several civil society organisations in Georgia and the misuse of the law on grants, several organisations defending the defence have joined Lawyers for Lawyers to highlight the serious consequences for access to justice and the work of lawyers.
The OIAD has taken part in this statement in order to denounce these violations and support Georgian civil society.
