Daniel Prado is an independent lawyer associated with the Justice and Peace Commission (JyP), which carries out accompaniment processes with victims and communities using different approaches. Over the course of 30 years, Mr. Prado has witnessed the decline of the judicial system in Colombia and has suffered multiple threats because of his work. The lack of support and protection of lawyers by the State, led by conflicts of interest, puts human rights lawyers at risk.
